Job Description: Marketing Manager for New Charter School

Position Overview: As the Marketing Manager for our new charter school, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the school, attract prospective students and families, and engage with the community. Your responsibilities will include branding, advertising, digital marketing, event planning, and community outreach. By leveraging your creativity, strategic thinking, and communication skills, you will help establish the school's identity, build its reputation, and drive enrollment growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Development and Positioning:

    • Develop the school's brand identity, including logos, colors, taglines, and messaging, to reflect its mission, values, and unique offerings.

    • Establish the school's positioning in the market, identifying key differentiators and competitive advantages to attract target audiences.

  2. Marketing Strategy and Planning:

    • Create and execute multi-channel marketing plans and campaigns to raise awareness of the school, generate leads, and drive enrollment growth.

    • Develop marketing budgets, timelines, and metrics to track performance and measure return on investment (ROI).

  3. Digital Marketing and Social Media:

    • Manage the school's digital presence, including website content, social media channels, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns.

    • Create engaging and shareable content to increase brand visibility, engage with stakeholders, and drive traffic to the school's website and events.

  4. Advertising and Promotion:

    • Develop and implement advertising campaigns across various channels, including print, radio, outdoor, and digital media, to reach target demographics and geographic areas.

    • Coordinate with creative agencies, media partners, and vendors to produce high-quality marketing materials and collateral.

  5. Event Planning and Outreach:

    • Plan and execute recruitment events, open houses, school tours, information sessions, and community outreach activities to connect with prospective families and community partners.

    • Represent the school at community events, fairs, and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote the school's programs and initiatives.

  6. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and demographic studies to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the local education market.

    • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics, including website traffic, social media engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates, to optimize marketing efforts and improve outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in marketing, advertising, or communications, preferably in the education sector or with a focus on youth or family-oriented markets.

  • Strong strategic planning, project management, and budgeting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and content for diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including website CMS, email marketing software, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.

  • Creative thinking, innovation, and a passion for education and community engagement.
